About Us
Naphasorn (Nuch) and Rusty's story began in February 2018 when they met in Thailand while Rusty was vacationing with friends. After two years of a long-distance relationship, Rusty returned to Thailand in January 2021, where he spent three months with Nuch, and the couple became engaged.
Their journey was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, but Nuch finally arrived in the U.S. in July 2021, and they were married in September of that same year.
Soon after settling in, Nuch began preparing traditional Thai dishes for friends and family. Her cooking quickly gained popularity, with many encouraging them to sell her flavorful homemade food. Inspired by the overwhelming support, they launched Tastes of Thailand.
Today, Tastes of Thailand offers authentic Thai appetizers like Crab Rangoons, Satay, and Spring Rolls—now available for purchase at the Sunrise Side Co-op Market in Alpena (401 E Chisholm St in Alpena). You can also find them at various events and festivals across Northern Michigan, where they continue to share the vibrant and delicious tastes of Thailand with the community.
